About EPLSA
Eastern Province Legume Seed Alliance is a registered (1918), and growing business membership organization, BMO, with a mission to strengthen the legume network for a growing 400,000 strong members consisting of small producers, aggregators, agro-dealers and processors.
The alliance will position the sector strategically to tap into the growing national, regional and national demand and market for legumes for their health proteins, vitamins, minerals and fiber for the growing human population and livestock and fish industry.
In addition to efficiently providing food, legumes production is eco-friendly, with a unique rapid capacity to restore degraded soils. Organic carbon and N left in the soil the legume cropping systems reverses climate negative impact by reducing the carbon foot print.
